Welcome to Youth Services
We have lots to offer – from materials for borrowing, such as books, DVD’s, video games, audio kits, and music, to many excellent free databases for research and entertainment, plus free access to Overdrive (ebooks) and Kanopy (movies).
For young children we offer databases such as LOTE4Kids.
For tweens and teens we offer many invaluable research databases from the library or home.
Our programming includes book clubs, storytime, yoga, cooking classes, volunteer opportunities, and more. Just go to our calendar of events for information on upcoming programs.
If you need assistance with materials or have questions concerning an upcoming program, please contact Ms. Leslie or Ms. Lauren.
Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, too.
We are happy to hear your suggestions and help you with your needs!
Head of Youth Services
Ms. Leslie has worked at the library for over twenty years filling a variety of roles. She has watched lots of children grow from preschool storytime attendees to parents themselves, bringing their children back to the library and asking, “do you still have the electric train?”
Her responsibilities include department management, program coordination for children’s and teen services, providing storytime and book club, and reference librarian.
When she is not at the library she likes to be outdoors in her garden, at the beach or in the country, preferably on a bike! Aside from her family, her two close companions are her fluffy pups, Emmett and Lilly. Her favorite place to read a book? At the beach, by a river, here, there, anywhere:)
She is always here to help. Feel free to contact her via phone, email, or in-person. She can be contacted at [email protected].
