Book Crew


Tues. April 17 at 7 PM.

Register and pick up a copy of the book at the adult circulation desk.

Students in Grades 6 - 9 may join the fun with other teens and pizza will be served at each session.

Community Club: Grades 6 - 12

Meets on one Wed. each month.  Work on different and rewarding community service projects monthly throughout the year. Have fun with friends while making a difference and earning community service credit.

Summer Events

Summer is just around the corner!

Registration for all our fun summer programs, Teen Read and volunteering begins on May 29. Spaces fill quickly!

-Teen Read: Review your summer reading online, in print or artistically; earn points to spend in our Library store and be entered in weekly raffles!
-Attend fun evening programs; tennis , art, music and more!
-Volunteer and earn community service credit and earn points to spend in our Library Store and be entered in weekly raffles!

    

Summer Volunteer opportunities include:
-Summer Reading Club Volunteer
-Participation in our annual children’s play.
(must be available for the practices and play dates)
-Teens Read to Tots
-Library Late Night
-Game Night
-Closing Party for children.
- Assisting with specific children’s programs.

Earn Community Service credit while helping out the library and the community!
Students going into grades 6-12 are invited to volunteer.

Memorial Day Parade

Mon, May 28th 
Teens are invited to walk with us in the Memorial Day Parade.
Earn Community Service credit while supporting your community.
We’ll meet at 8:45 am at the corner of Forest Ave. and 6th Street, Locust Valley. Contact the library for further info.  Register online or in-person.

Summer Tennis 

Mondays July 9 & 16, 6-7:30 PM

Join Mr. Steve and other teens on our tennis courts for some tennis. All levels welcome. Reg. online

 

 

 Volunteer Meetings

Volunteer Meeting and Meet and Greet: Tues, June 19 at 7 PM 

There will be a mandatory volunteer meeting for all summer volunteers. We will discuss the responsibilities of a summer volunteer as well as other volunteer opportunities that are available.
Enjoy pizza and a meet and greet with other teens after the meeting. Get your questions answered and your summer schedules settled at the same time.
Register to attend this meeting when signing up to volunteer.


TEENS READ TO TOTS

Volunteer Meeting Tues. June 26 at 7:30 PM

For grades 6 and up. Earn community service credit reading to our toddlers on Wednesday mornings in July. Those who are interested must sign up and attend this mandatory meeting.
