Campaign Mission Statement

Located within the historic MNA Neighborhood House is our beloved community library. The Locust Valley Library has a wonderful staff, thousands of literary and media works, hundreds of programs for the community, plus beautiful grounds with tennis courts to enjoy. While the library is a place to interact and educate it also provides quiet relaxing areas for reading and studying, or simply a place to think.

The Locust Valley Library has launched Campaign 2020. Donations to Campaign 2020 will enable the library to continue to be a place to connect the community but in a revitalized atmosphere with modern technology.

The Plan

Community Room – Update air-conditioning, audio-visual equipment, lighting, sound proofing, storage, and kitchen facilities. Completed in 2014.

Children’s Library and Teen Center – Modernize and repurpose space to expand youth service.

Main Floor – Provide designated quiet study and small group learning areas, nooks for laptop use with outlets, reallocate staff space to better serve patrons.

Exterior – Renovate the Library’s exterior with painting, staining, energy efficient windows, fire escape, lighting, and front deck.

Grounds – Refurbish the landscape, driveway, stairs, retaining walls, parking, and tennis courts.
