Volunteering Opportunities at the Library

Reading tutors are needed to assist children with their reading skills during the school year.  The 6-8 week sessions are held twice yearly, once beginning in late fall and again beginning in mid January on
Wednesdays from 5-6 PM.
Call Ms. Leslie for details.

Volunteer on Mondays from 4-5 PM. Help a young child with their homework or read together. Sessions run from October through April.  Contact Ms. Leslie for further information.

Do you want to engage with other teens to make a difference in the world? Do you want to see your community services hours matter and become something memorable. If so, then this is the place for you. The Community Club for Teens is a volunteer club that meets here at the library the second Tuesday of every month. We will work on various community volunteer opportunities and discuss ways to help the world around us in a casual and non-judgmental way. Community service hours will be awarded monthly. We encourage you to bring a friend! Sign-up is required. New Members are welcome. See Ms. Nadine in Youth Services for details. Beginning October 13, 2015 at 7 PM.

Community Service Credit is awarded for participation in all volunteer opportunities.

Middle School Book Café

Enjoy pizza and a book talk with other teens. Meetings are held on Wednesdays once a month at 7 PM October through April. Register and pick up a copy of the book in the teen area. Contact Ms. Leslie for further information.
