Teen Cooking Class: Chinese Chicken Dumplings


chinesedumplingCelebrate the Chinese New Year by learning to make Chinese Chicken Dumplings! After a demonstration, participants will prepare all the ingredients and then use dumpling wrappers to create delicious Asian dumplings.  Make some to bring home!

Registration required for this free program.  Grades 6-12.

Volunteering Opportunities at the Library

Reading tutors are needed to assist children with their reading skills.
This session is scheduled to begin in November and meets once weekly on Wednesdays from 5-6 pm.

Volunteer on Mondays from 4-5 pm. Help a young child with their homework or read together.Contact Miss Leslie for further information.

Teen will work one on one with adults assisting with basic computer skills and questions. Schedules vary.  Call Miss Nadine for details.

Middle School Book Café

 Enjoy pizza and a book talk with other teens. Meetings are held on Wednesdays once a month @ 7pm. Register and pick up a copy of the book in the teen area. Contact Ms. Leslie for further information.

Art Display

 Artwork created by the Grenville Baker Students will be on display from January 2 - 29. Please come to view the art of these very talented young artists in our Community. Call the Library @ 671-1837 for available viewing times.

Countdown to College

Tues. Feb. 10th @ 7pm.
The race to the finish line begins the first day of ninth grade and doesn't finish until Graduation Day. All the standardized tests, deadlines, course selection, essays, community service, etc can make this race seem like it's nothing but daunting hurdles. Ms. Becker, who has been a NY State certified guidance counselor and standardized test preparation specialist for 35 years, will  explain step-by-step strategiesso you can  maximize your chances to gain acceptance to the college of your choice.
